On behalf of the Officers of the Greensburg Police Department, I want to welcome you to our web page.

I am extremely proud of our Department and the officers who make up our organization. I assure you these officers can be counted on to provide the highest level of quality and professional service the citizens and visitors of Greensburg deserve.  Our officers will accomplish this through fair and impartial enforcement of the law.

Our police officers are an integral part of our community and their presence is intended to maintaining high visibility and accessibility. In an effort to be accessible and visible; in 2012 our officers drove over 71,000 miles and walked many miles in our neighborhoods. Remember our officers are there for you; enforcing the laws, ensuring public safety and responding to people in need.

I believe effective law enforcement and safety of the public is a cooperative effort partnered with our Community. Law Enforcement Officers alone cannot control crime. We are committed to making community policing more than just a theory in Greensburg.  I welcome your input and your suggestions that will make our community safer or our Police Department more efficient.

Best Regards,
Wayne Hedgespeth
Chief of Police
